Tango2UK was proud to be represented at the 2026 TANGO2 Family Conference, hosted by the TANGO2 Research Foundation in Orlando, Florida. The biennial conference brought together families, clinicians, researchers and international partners from across the world to share the latest developments in TANGO2 research, clinical care and patient support.
Representing Tango2UK were Dr Abinaya Seenivasan and 2 UK families (including Trustee and Founder Dr Hannah Packman). They attended a wide range of scientific presentations, research discussions and networking opportunities with leading clinicians and researchers working in the field of TANGO2 deficiency disorder.
The conference highlighted encouraging progress across several areas of research and reinforced the importance of global collaboration in accelerating understanding of this ultra-rare condition. There was a strong sense of optimism throughout the event, with many sessions focusing not only on scientific advances but also on improving quality of life and long-term outcomes for individuals living with TANGO2.
We are delighted that Dr Abinaya Seenivasan has joined Tango2UK’s clinical and research board. Helping to communicate important research developments and emerging clinical knowledge back to our UK community. This will strengthen the connection between international research activity and families here in the UK, ensuring that we continue to share reliable, evidence-based information as it becomes available.
Over the coming weeks and months, Dr Abinaya will work with the Tango2UK team to review the key learning from the conference. We will then share updates with our community, including the latest research developments, clinical insights and opportunities for future collaboration.
We would like to thank the TANGO2 Research Foundation for organising such an inspiring and collaborative event, and for continuing to bring together the global TANGO2 community with a shared ambition of improving the lives of everyone affected by TANGO2 deficiency disorder.
