The Tango2 Community to Benefit from Counselling Support Thanks to Crane Fund for Widows and Children

We are incredibly grateful to announce that we have received a generous grant of £3,500 from the Crane Fund for Widows and Children to fund counselling sessions through RareMinds for families affected by Tango2.

This funding will allow families within our community to access professional counselling support, helping them navigate the emotional and mental health challenges that can often come alongside living with a rare condition.

A diagnosis of Tango2 impacts the whole family. Parents, siblings, and carers often face uncertainty, anxiety, isolation, and emotional exhaustion while managing complex medical needs and day-to-day challenges. Access to specialist counselling can make a profound difference, providing a safe space for families to process their experiences, strengthen resilience, and feel supported.

Through this partnership with RareMinds, counselling sessions will be made available to all families within the Tango2 community, ensuring that no one has to face these challenges alone.

We know just how important emotional wellbeing support is for rare disease families, and this funding represents a meaningful investment in the mental health of our community.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Crane Fund for Widows and Children for recognising this need and for their generosity and compassion. Their support will have a lasting impact on families living with Tango2 and will help ensure that vital emotional support is accessible when it is needed most.

Together, we continue to build a stronger, more supported community for every family affected by Tango2.
